  • THAT the Agenda be approved as amended.

  • THAT the Minutes of the May 28, 2024 Meeting of County Council and the Minutes of the May 28, 2024 Closed Session of County Council be approved as presented; and

    THAT the recommendations made by Committee of the Whole as set out in the Minutes of the May 28, 2024 Meeting be adopted.

Report from Cindy Howard, General Manager of Finance & Community Services and Joe Winser, Manager of Social Services

  • THAT County Council approve the $3,179.50 that was not allocated be divided evenly ($397.44) and provided to the eight lower tier Middlesex County municipalities to support children and youth in sports and/or recreation.

    AND THAT County Council approve the following financial support through the Middlesex Supports program with the knowledge that funding will not be provided until programs are actually operating for the following funders; and that the necessary by-laws authorizing the Warden and the Clerk to sign the agreements be approved:

    • Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Care - Mutual Aid for Parenting Program - $10,000
    • Family Services Thames Valley - Counselling for children and families - $64,900
    • Southwest Middlesex - Can I Play Too? - $6,500
    • Strathroy/Caradoc - Can I Play Too? - $10,000
    • Children’s Aid Society - Swim Passes - $500
    • The Western University Students’ Council (USC)- Early Outreach Conference - $5,000

  • THAT the proposed 2024/25 insurance program as submitted by Intact Public Entities Inc. with a premium of $1,258,725 for twelve months plus applicable taxes to June 30, 2025 be approved.

  • THAT Committee of the Whole convene at ___pm.

  • THAT the Tourism Investment Toolkit presentation be received for information.

Report from Cara Finn, Director of Economic Development

  • THAT the Transfer of Ownership of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations to Local Municipalities Report be received for information;

    AND THAT the Director of Economic Development be authorized to execute, on behalf of the County of Middlesex, all agreements, and other documents necessary to complete this transfer on confirmation that such agreements and other documents be in a form satisfactory to the County Solicitor.

  • THAT the Middlesex County Building Filming Requests Report be received for information;

    AND THAT County Council approve the use of the Middlesex County Building for filming requests in accordance with Agreement No. 2019-7016;

    AND THAT the Manager of Legislative Services/County Clerk be authorized to execute, on behalf of the County of Middlesex, all agreements, and other documents necessary to complete subleases on confirmation that such agreements and other documents be in a form satisfactory to the County Solicitor.

  • THAT the request for the installation of a pedestrian crossover at the intersection of Longwoods Road (County Road 2) and Springer Road/Victoria Street in the Village of Delaware not be approved at this time.
