  • THAT the Minutes of the Middlesex County Council Meeting held on June 8, 2021 be approved as presented.

Report from Chief Neal Roberts, MLPS

  • THAT Council receive this report for information and direct the County Clerk to forward a copy of this report to the City of London Clerk for distribution to London City Council.

Report from Cindy Howard, General Manager of Finance & Community Services

  • THAT County Council approve the $31,928 amount that was not allocated be divided evenly ($3,991) and provided to the eight lower tier Middlesex County municipalities to support children and youth in sports and/or recreation; AND

    THAT County Council approve the following financial support through the Middlesex Supports program with the knowledge that funding will not be provided until programs are actually operating for the following funders; and that the necessary by-laws authorizing the Warden and the Clerk to sign the agreements be approved:

    Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Care

    • Mutual Aid for Parenting Program - $10,000

    Family Services Thames Valley

    • Counselling for children and families - $64,900

    Southwest Middlesex

    • Can I Play Too? - $6,500

    Strathroy/Caradoc

    • Can I Play Too? - $10,000

    Middlesex County Library

    • Supporting Children’s Healthy Development through the promotion of Early Literacy in the Home - $2,500.

    Children’s Aid Society

    • Swim Passes - $500

  • THAT the first and second reading of the By-laws be given.

  • THAT the third and final reading of the preceding By-laws be given.

  • THAT the proposed 2021/22 insurance program as submitted by Intact Public Entities Inc. with a premium of $957,986 for twelve months plus applicable taxes to June 30, 2022 be approved.

  • THAT the attached Community Safety and Well-Being Plan, be approved, and that a copy of the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan be forwarded to the Ministry of the Solicitor General, as required by the Police Services Act, 1990.

  • THAT the 5-year Machinery Replacement Program be approved, and that the equipment scheduled for replacement in 2022 be tendered in the fall of 2021.

Report from Cindy Howard, General Manager Finance and Community Services/Treasurer

  • THAT the Homeless Prevention and Housing Plan – Change Begins with Choice, 2020 update and priorities for 2021 be received for information; and


    THAT Appendix A be approved and sent to the Service Manager to be included in the Service Manager’s submission to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
